VODAK Taranis OFF
Description of wood
Wood is suitable for playing with plastic balls.
Taranis Off wood is used by extra-league player and former representative Marek Klásek.
VODAK Taranis Off is a hard offensive wood with two layers of carbon and a great soft-feel, not very common for offensive carbon woods. Taranis wood makes a higher curve, and therefore topspin strikers relying on the accuracy, speed and rotation of their strikes and services will be satisfied with this wood. The wood is suitable for any offensive style of play, with forceful end strokes. Thanks to a pleasant soft feel, the wood is very easy to control and at great speed.
For technical strokes (chop, block, service, reception), Taranis behaves calmly and so-called "does not kick", but at the same time he accelerates very much during strokes played more aggressively.
Taranis also offers great opportunities in playing with grass or sandwiches. Faster active grass play is very annoying and difficult to predict for opponents. After an attack and a block with grass or a sandwich, the ball bounces very low from the table, making it quite difficult for the opponent to make another attack.
The middle is made of a thicker veneer from Kiri, the upper veneers are made of Ayous wood and in combination with the carbon placed just below them, they guarantee a very above-standard feeling and control at high speed. Carbon layers also give the wood stability, and thus rigidity and accuracy in attack strikes. Taranis Off wood is very pleasant to play and easy to use.
The wood is varnished and is ready for immediate gluing of coatings.
